Design that feel YOU✶

I’m Kaelyn, but I go by Kae. I’m a beginner graphic designer building this into a real career, one project (and one monster energy drink) at a time. I like designs that feel like you with added touches of my ideas, makes it feel more personal and not so plain. I do not support AI, nor ever wish to use it in my work. I believe AI can be used for good but right now it is too full of plagerism and therefore will not have it in my works. If I ever use AI it is to revise my own grammar, as I tend to ramble, but I will not use it for any designs.

I started doing design as a “small design task” at work, helping with posters and grooming flyers, and ended up completely falling in love with it. Most of my experience so far is with pet grooming, daycare, and small businesses; things like service menus, spa add-on sheets, holiday promos, and social-friendly posters.

I’m self-taught and always learning, literally will most likely be watching tutorials and then figuring it out myself because might as well experiment in my free time. I get frustrated when something isn’t matching the picture in my head, but I keep poking, tweaking, and reworking the layout until it finally feels right. I care a lot about making sure the final design feels like you, not just “something aesthetic”.

I’m based in Colorado Springs and open to remote work, especially for small business projects, pet-related brands, and anyone who wants a designer who is kind, patient, and willing to talk things through instead of making you guess. I have a wide knowledge but am always happy to hear new ideas and plan around it. I am a very much laid-back, but I want to work to your schedule as I am a beginner.
